The Woodridge Community Pantry is accepting registration for “A Job For Me,” an outreach program to prepare high school students and adults seeking employment and to provide comprehensive job-seeking training.
The six-week program takes place every Wednesday and Friday — July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 and 24 — from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 2700 75th St., Woodridge.
Classes are free, and a free lunch will be provided to all participants.
In addition to providing a wide range of job hunting tips, each participant will be provided with an interview with a placement agency at the conclusion of the program.
The deadline to register is Friday, July 3. To register, or for more information, call (630) 512-9921.
The pantry serves more than 3,000 residents each month in Darien and Westmont, in addition to those in Woodridge, Downers Grove and Lisle, according to Barbara Schmith, executive director.
