DUI charges filed
Brian M. Olsen, 28, of Schaumburg was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage after being arrested at 1 a.m. Sept. 19 in the 200 block of East 55th Street, police said.
Camera reported stolen
A camera valued at $500 was reported removed from a car at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 16 while the car was being serviced at Fuller’s Car Wash, 102 W. Chicago Ave., police said.
Copper wire disappears
Copper wire valued at $2,000 was reported stolen between Sept. 11 and 15 from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway property at Chestnut and Vine streets, according to police.
Police said 1,000 feet of red and black track wire was reported missing from spools at that location.
Pumping station vandalized
Graffiti was spray-painted on brick walls and electrical boxes on a Village of Hinsdale-owned pumping station at 980 N. Elm St. between 10 p.m. Sept. 15 and 8 a.m. Sept. 16, according to police. Damage is estimated at $500.
Diamond ring stolen
A $12,000 diamond ring was reported stolen between 2 p.m. Sept. 16 and 10 a.m. Sept. 17 from a home in the 500 block of North Garfield Avenue, according to police.
Purse reported stolen
A purse containing a wallet, identification card, credit cards, cash, a cell phone and keys were reported taken between noon and 2 p.m. Sept. 17 from Trousseaux, 777 N. York Road, according to police.
About $1,000 in unauthorized purchases then were made at various businesses in the western suburbs, police said.
According to police, the victim’s loss is estimated at $235.
Darien
Police file DUI charges
• Susan M. Mayer, 46, 1446 Coventry Court, Darien was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal and driving on the wrong side of the road after being arrested at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at Norman Court and Williams Street, police said.
• Robert Galiullin, 27, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage after being pulled over at 1:45 a.m. Sept. 17 in the 8400 block of North Frontage Road, police said.
3 arrested in altercation
Tammy Galindo, 34, 356 59th St., Willowbrook was charged with battery after being arrested at 11 p.m., Sept. 10 after allegedly striking a bouncer at Q Billiards, 8109 Cass Ave., police said.
According to police, Mario Galindo, 33, 356 59th St., Willowbrook was charged with assault after allegedly starting a fight with another patron inside the business during the same altercation.
A third party, Kate Steinhoff, 21, of Bolingbrook was arrested for three outstanding warrants and transferred to the Burr Ridge Police Department, according to police.
Marijuana charges filed
Jindrich Prucha, 24, 18 W. 154 Belair Court, Darien was charged with possession of marijuana after being arrested at 10 a.m. Sept. 16 near 75th Street and Cass Avenue, police said.
An officer stopped to help the suspect with a disabled vehicle and noticed a bag of what appeared to be marijuana sticking out of his front pocket, police said.
