• The Christian Church of Clarendon Hills offers DivorceCare every Wednesday at 7 p.m. This weekly program and support group is for people who are separated or divorced. Each DivorceCare session includes a video on an issue related to divorce and recovery. Videos feature nationally recognized experts on topics such as coping with loneliness, depression, anger, financial survival, helping children cope with their parent’s divorce and new relationships. • The Christian Church of Clarendon Hills will host its annual The Great Pumpkin Chase event at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. This community event is an alternative to Halloween and allows families to spend a safe, fun evening together. Numerous organized activities are planned including carnival games, face painting, crafts and a family meal. Nonscary costumes are welcome. The cost is $3 per person or $7 per family.
