Free concert to be held at community park

Jim Gill will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 15 at Darien Community Park, 7100 Clarendon Hills Road, Darien.
The concert, sponsored by the Friends of Indian Prairie Library in conjunction with the Darien Park District, will take place at the South Pavilion of the park.
Gill, a former child development specialist, has produced five recordings recognized by the American Library Association and authored two children’s books, according to library officials.
Spectators can bring their own picnic basket, lawn chairs and blankets.
