Lemont vehicle stickers due date approaching

Residents who live or own a business in Lemont must get a vehicle sticker and have it displayed on their vehicle by July 1.
Vehicle stickers can be purchased at the Lemont Township Office, 1115 Warner Ave.
Fees vary per vehicle.
It costs $25 for motor bikes, $40 for passenger vehicles under 4,500 lbs., $50 for passenger vehicles over 4,500 lbs., $30 for recreational trailers and $50 for trucks up to 10,000 lbs. Senior citizens and the physically handicapped can get their vehicle stickers for free.
Those who don’t get a sticker by that date will be penalized.
After July 2 the fees double with it costing $50 for motor bikes, $80 for passenger vehicles under 4,500 lbs., $100 for passenger vehicles over 4,500 lbs., $60 for recreational trailers, $100 for trucks up to 10,000 lbs. and $25 for senior citizens and the physically handicapped.
Law enforcement agencies will be issuing tickets to vehicle owners who don’t have a sticker.
