Three electric vehicle charging stations are ready for use in Berwyn.

Two of the stations are located on the first level of the municipal parking garage at 3320 Oak Park Ave. The other charging station is located in a curbside parking spot in front of the Berwyn Route 66 Museum, 7003 Ogden Ave.

The charging stations, which are designed to look like a traditional gas pump, cost $3 per session and take two to six hours to charge a vehicle.

The stations require either a contactless credit or debit card or a chargepass card.

The charging stations were approved by the City Council last month and paid for using grant money. The stations are part of a larger 280-station network that is currently being implemented in the Chicago area.
