Become a Houby Queen contestant

Organizers of the 41st International Houby Festival are accepting applications for the next International Houby Queen.
To be eligible, young women must be between the ages of 16 and 21, unmarried with no children, currently enrolled in school or enrolled for the fall semester, and reside in Berwyn, Brookfield, Cicero, Lyons, North Riverside, Oak Park, Riverside or Stickney.
In addition to being the guest of honor at the annual Houby Day Parade, the winner will receive a scholarship to put toward school.
