Metra train traffic is moving again on the BNSF rail line after a body on the tracks halted traffic for more than an hour Wednesday evening.
Transit officials say they received word at 5:08 p.m. that trains were stopped at the Cicero train station, bringing to a standstill the entire rail line, which runs from Chicago to Aurora making stops in Hinsdale, Downers Grove and Westmont.
“An adult male was on the tracks, but they’re not sure if he was hit by a train,” said fire department spokesman Joseph Roccasalva.
The incident occurred near West 23rd Street and Springfield Avenue in Chicago.
