Cicero Town officials and Corazon Community Services are teaming up this year to present Cease Fire Week Monday through Friday, June 15 to 19.
 

The Chicago Fire soccer team will be on hand to start the week with a kick-off at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the soccer fields at 1808 S. Laramie Ave. The soccer tournament will begin at 11 a.m. Registration for the soccer tournament will begin at 9 a.m. at the soccer fields. The tournament is open to players ages 4 to 23.
 

Other major events of the week include:
•  An obstacle course challenge at 10 a.m. Monday for youth ages 6 through 13 at Hawthorne Park, 5202 W. 29th Place;
•  A memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday at Morton East High School Auditorium, 2423 S. Austin Blvd., to honor victims of violence;
•  The softball tournament, open to ages 10 and up, starts at 11 a.m. June 17 at Kolar Field, 6000 W. 36th St.;
•  A 3-on-3 basketball tournaments for ages 12 and up will be held starting at 9 a.m. June 18 at Cicero Stadium, 1909 S. Laramie Ave.
•  A Family Fun Festival will be held at 11 a.m. June 18 at St. Francis of Rome, 1500 S. Austin Blvd.

The week will conclude with a Peace March and Family Health & Fun Fair, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Cicero Community Center, 2250 S. 49th Ave. March attendees are asked to decorate bring bikes, scooters, and strollers. The fair will include health screenings, games, inflatables, and prizes.
