I would like to commend Elizabeth Pechous, Berwyn Township’s deputy assessor.

This past week Beth helped one of my elderly clients with a rather complicated property tax situation. Beth was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient as she worked to see to it that this senior citizen and her elderly family members obtained tax exemptions they were entitled to, as well as suggesting that the assessed value of their home be reviewed.

Beth’s work on this family’s behalf will not only save them money, but it promises them a refund for overpaid taxes. As a social worker with more than 25 years of experience working with the elderly and their families, I truly appreciate the care and compassion Beth Pechous has for seniors. Beth Pechous is an real asset to the township of Berwyn.

Auxiliary chief loved people, town of Cicero
On behalf of Christina, Melinda and Jennifer Zayas, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of Cicero and surrounding communities for all their warm wishes and condolences on the passing of Moises Zayas – chief of the Auxiliary Police Department of Cicero.

Your support and love during this untimely passing of Moises is truly appreciated. Moises touched many lives during his life, but without a doubt the town of Cicero and everyone from Town President Larry Dominick to the everyday resident of Cicero, were his true love.
