• Army National Guard Pfc. Manuel J. Robles graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Robles graduated in 2001 from Morton East High School, Cicero, and received an associate degree in 2006 from Morton College, Cicero.

• Navy Seaman Curtis E. Allen, son of Angela Heard of Cicero and Curtis Franklin of Chicago, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. with honors.
