The Carol Stream Park District will host an evening for families to celebrate Halloween.
The district is taking reservations for its Halloween Party, which will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Aldrin Community Center, 391 Illini Drive.
Take a haunted hayride around Armstrong Park and then listen to spooky stories by a bonfire while sipping hot cocoa and munching on a cookie. Make a craft to take home and hunt for candy in a haystack. After bouncing around in the inflatable moonwalk, kids can visit center stage to brave a reptile show. Prizes will also be given for a pumpkin-decorating contest, voted on by individuals in attendance.
The cost for children is $5 for residents and $9 for nonresidents. Parents are free; and children are encouraged to show up in costume.
For information or to register, visit the Park District Web site at www.csparks.org.
