The Village of Bartlett and the Bartlett Police Department were awarded a second place national award in the 15,000-49,000 population category on behalf of the National Association of Town Watch for its outstanding participation in the 26th Annual National Night Out from July 30 to Aug. 4.
Bartlett celebrated its 16th annual National Night Out, a crime, drug and violence prevention program, by hosting a concert in the park, family tailgate, pool party, video game competition, block party, lighting competitions, bicycle rodeo, bike ride with the village president and picnic in the park.
This was Bartlett’s 14th national award for participating in National Night Out since 1994.
The village and police said they wanted to thank the Bartlett Park District, Bartlett Fire Protection District, Bartlett Lion’s Club, local businesses, organizations and volunteers that contributed to the success of this annual community event.
