Paraphernalia alleged
Romeoville residents Randy Loader, 28, Crystal Miles, 22, and Colleen McGreehin, 27, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles after being arrested at about 12:45 p.m. June 3 in the 3000 block of Harlem Avenue, according to reports.
Officers saw a car swerve over the white and yellow lines on Harlem Avenue, according to reports. Police said they conducted a traffic stop after seeing a passenger holding a small, clear plastic bag.
While speaking with McGreehin, the driver, officers noticed Loader stuffing something in his pants and saw a clear plastic bag containing a white powder substance in the front of Miles’ sweatshirt, according to reports.
McGreehin had a small bag containing heroin, and officers found a spoon with residue and burnt cotton on the driver’s side floor, police said. Officers checked Miles’ purse and found two hypodermic syringes and a can of pop used to heat heroin before use, according to reports.
Loader and Miles were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles, police said. McGreehin was charged with the same in addition to possession of heroin, police said.

Man charged with DUI
Arthur Corral, 52, 4111 Gage Ave., Lyons, was charged with drunken driving after being arrested at about 1 a.m. June 6 in the 8900 block of Burlington Avenue, according to reports.
Officers saw a car turn with a flat tire from the 3700 block of Prairie Avenue to Burlington Avenue, according to reports. Police said after pulling Corral over, they noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverages coming from his breath.
Corral failed the field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.231, according to reports.
Fight leads to arrests
Candy Riley, 37, of Joliet was charged with battery after an incident at about 2 a.m. June 7 at Brixie’s Saloon, 9526 Ogden Ave., according to reports.
Police said they were dispatched to Brixie’s for a fight. Officers spoke with witnesses outside in the parking lot who said they saw a woman with blonde hair grab the hair of another woman with black hair, police said. Riley was seen punching the victim in the head several times before being separated, according to reports.
Employees in Brixie’s pointed out Riley as the woman who started the fight, and the victim signed a complaint for battery, according to reports.
Westchester
Woman charged with DUI
Jeanita Pritchett, 25 of Monroeville, Penn., was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at about 4:30 a.m. May 23 at Cermak and Gardner Road.
Police said they saw Pritchett driving on both sides of the road as she moved back and forth numerous times.
School vandalized
An employee of St. Joseph’s High School, 1840 Mayfair Ave., reported graffiti defacement that was painted on the dugout of the baseball field. The employee said the incident took place between May 22 and 23.
Underage drinking alleged
Police responded to a call about a loud party at about 12:30 a.m. May 24 at 11047 Martindale Drive.
Police said 25 people who were at the party were issued local ordinance citations for drunken and disorderly conduct and were later released. Five others were released after passing breathalyzer tests.
Alexandra Leard, 19, 147 N. Barton Trail, Batavia, and Montana Manenti, 19, of Barrington were both charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor.
Police said when they arrived they could hear loud yelling and noises coming from the back of the house. Officers discovered Suzanna Van Tholen, 41, the homeowner, was hiding in an upstairs bedroom, police said.
Van Tholen was charged with a misdemeanor for permitting a minor to become intoxicated.
Car chase leads to arrest
David Chamberlain, 25, of Chicago was charged with two felony counts of aggravated fleeing and eluding police after being arrested at about 2:30 p.m. May 24.
Chamberlain also was issued citations for several disobeying red stop lights and stop signs, speeding, improper turns, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane usage, reckless driving, driving in the wrong lane and driving with license suspended.
Two garages burglarized
A resident reported her garage was broken into between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. May 24 in the 1000 block of Hull Avenue.
Missing was her mountain bike, valued at about $242, and a CD player having an unknown value.
In the 900 block of Manchester Avenue, a resident reported her garage was broken into between May 24 and May 25.
Missing was her Nokia drill, a yellow tool box containing drill bits and a red portable cable air compressor. The total value of items missing is about $1,200.
Domestic battery alleged
Jean Schaffer-Farhi, 48, 2941 Ashton Court, Westchester, was charged with domestic battery after being arrested at about 6 p.m. May 27.
Police said Schaffer-Farhi is being accused of scratching a person in the face and trying to stop the person from getting into a car.
Laptops taken
A home was burglarized between May 27 and 28 in the 800 block of Westchester Boulevard. Missing was her Panasonic Toughbook and laptop computers. Police said there were no signs of forced and entry. No loss value was provided by police.
Man faces drug charges
Luis Herrera, 38, 2250 S. 16th Ave., Broadview, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving with no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding following a traffic stop at about 7:15 p.m. May 29.
Police said Herrera was in possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine.
Man charged with DUI
Juan Garcia, 32, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license, illegal transportation of open alcohol in a motor vehicle and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at about 4:30 a.m. May 31 at Mannheim Road and Pelham Street.
