Suspended license alleged
Danny Robinson, 24, 7320 W. Ogden Ave., Riverside, was charged with driving while his license was suspended after being arrested at about 5:45 p.m. May 29 in the 7800 block of Ogden Avenue, according to reports.
Police said they saw Robinson driving without wearing a seat belt and conducted a traffic stop. Robinson said he did not have his license on him, and officers discovered his license was suspended, according to reports.
Robinson also was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to wear a seat belt, according to reports.
BROOKFIELD
Gaming systems taken
A laptop, two video gaming systems, controllers and games were taken from a Brookfield home, according to police.
Officers responded to the 3200 block of Madison Avenue for a residential burglary that occurred between May 21 and 25, according to reports.
The victim said he is missing a HP laptop, an X-Box 360, a Nintendo Wii with nine games, seven controllers and about 20 games, according to reports. The total loss is pegged at $2,900.
Battery counts filed
Dulce Marcela Gutierrez, 27, and Heriberto Gutierrez, 31, both of Glendale Heights, were charged with resisting a police officer and battery after being arrested at about 3 a.m. May 31 at Brixie’s Bar, 9526 Ogden Ave., according to reports.
Police said they were on patrol when flagged down by a bar patron who said a fight was in progress. When officers walked in, they saw two females arguing in front of the bar, according to police.
Officers saw Dulce slap the right hand of the bar employee, who was taking her picture to place her on the banned from bar list, according to reports. Police said as they were arresting Dulce, Heriberto approached them in an aggressive manner with his fists clenched, and he pushed an officer in the right shoulder, police said.
Heriberto struggled to break free from police custody and swung his arm at one officer hitting him in the face and causing his glasses to fall, according to reports. Dulce then pushed the officer, holding her in the chest in order to get away, but the officer was able to put Dulce to the ground to gain control, according to reports.
Police said they told Heriberto a stun gun would be used if he did not put his hands behind his back and stop resisting. After Heriberto refused to cooperate, officers used a stun gun on the man, police added.
Dulce also was charged with criminal damage to property, according to reports.
WESTCHESTER
Traffic stop leads to arrest
A man was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at about 3:15 a.m. May. 21.
Gerardo Chavez, 23, 8649 W. 45th St., of Lyons, was pulled over after his vehicle was seen weaving across the yellow line while eastbound on Cermak Road.
Chavez failed field sobriety tests and admitted to police he had been drinking. Chavez had a blood-alcohol level of .171.
He also was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle, im-proper use of registration and improper lane usage.
Sugar poured in gas tank
A resident in the 1600 block of Mannheim Road reported sugar being poured in his car’s gas tank between May 20 and 21.
A small amount of a white crystallized substance was found on the ground near the 1998 Chevy Cavalier, police said.
