State Sen. Dan Cronin is sponsoring his 12th annual winter coat drive from now until Dec. 18.
Residents can bring donations of gently used winter gear, including coats, jackets, scarves and mittens, to the Brookfield Village Hall, 8820 Brookfield Ave.
The donated items will be distributed to organizations that help those in need, such as the St. Vincent de Paul Society, York Township Public Assistance, local school districts and veterans’ associations.
Since the coat drive began in 1998, Cronin’s office has distributed more than 26,000 coats.
