The Jan. 17 agenda for the Elementary School District 102 board meeting will be short to allow time for a discussion on what many believe is a pressing need for space in the district’s five schools.
Riverside-Brookfield High School will administer its eighth-grade placement exam to students in the district who will be entering high school in the fall of 2008.
Allison Muth of Brookfield; Teresa Soria of Lyons; and Melissa Dudak of Riverside received degrees from Roosevelt University, Chicago, during summer commencement exercises.
Michael Rerucha of Brookfield, Bret Culen of Burr Ridge and Anthony Adducci of Western Springs received bachelor of arts degrees from Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, during May commencement exercises.
Pamela Duda of Brookfield received a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering with honors from Milwaukee School of Engineering, Wis., during spring commencement ceremonies. Honor graduates have earned a cumulative grade-point average between 3.20 and 3.69.
More and more these days, a school administrator’s success isn’t measured in letter grades and conduct marks — it’s gauged by an ability to implement a mounting wall of mandates while producing positive test scores and receiving little to no financial assistance along the way.
