Argument over beer turns into 20-person fight

An argument in a Lombard parking lot over a case of beer erupted into a fight involving 20 people and the arrest of six individuals early Sunday, Oct. 12.

Lombard Deputy Police Chief Dane Cuny said police received a call at 12:45 a.m. Sunday of a fight in the 800 block of South Foxworth Boulevard. Police responded and found 20 people fighting. A female was punched in the face, another subject had wounds on his face, and many others had cuts and scrapes from the altercation, but all refused medical treatment, Cuny said.

William Phelps, 18, 840 Foxworth Blvd., Unit 102, and Justin Coconato, 20, of 207 N. Westmore Ave., both of Lombard; Danielle Squires, 20, 831 Meadow Ridge Drive, of West Chicago; Charli Jacoby, 19, 1294 Big Horn Trail, of Carol Stream; and Jordan Kreiss, 19, 4310 Vernon Ave., Brookfield, were all charged with underage drinking at the scene and released.

James Dehaan, 19, a roommate of Phelps’ at 840 Foxworth, was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol at the scene and released.
