VIDEO: Fermilab gets funding, ends layoffs

Fermilab Director Pier Oddone is pleased with some of the remarks made as public officials announced the end to layoffs at Fermilab to a gathering of employees at Wilson Hall July 2.

BATAVIA, IL -
Fermilab Director Pier Oddone announced to Fermilab employees the suspension of involuntary layoffs at the lab during a gathering in Ramsey Auditorium at Wilson Hall on the Fermilab campus in Batavia. United States Senator Richard Durbin, Congresswoman Judy Biggert, Congressman Bill Foster and Acting Deputy Secretary of Energy Jeffrey Kupfer were guest speakers at the event. Many of the remarks during the event were met with cheers from the standing room only crowd of employees at the event July 2.
