Residents made the right choice for Westchester
Thank you to the residents of Westchester for voting to retain our current form of government. Because of your support, Westchester can begin to move forward rather than being forced to take a major step backward at a time when we can least afford it.
As a Village Board, our next step is to hire a village manager who can live up to the many challenges our community faces. We want you to know that as your elected representatives, we take this selection process very seriously. In fact, we believe there’s no decision we will make that will have a greater impact on the future of Westchester.
Rest assured, we are conducting an exhaustive search for a manager who has not only the appropriate educational background and professional expertise, but who also exhibits the highest of ethical standards and commitment to community service that we consider essential.
Thank you again for trust and support.

On behalf of the entire Brookfield Aging Well Team, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in Brookfield’s first annual Health Fair Oct. 14 at the Brookfield Village Hall.
Health fair a success thanks to residents
Brookfield businesses consisting of Edward Jones, Brennan Massage, First National Bank of Brookfield, Beltone, Curves, Brookfield Financial Plans, Visiting Angels, Symmetry Therapeutic Massage, Physicians for Natural Health, the British Home and the Brookfield Library, along with Brookfield Police, Fire and Recreation departments, plus Dominick’s, People Care and the Illinois secretary of state’s office all contributed toward making this event a huge success. Also a big thanks to the Brookfield Public Works Department for the logistical help and setup.
Of course, we would especially like to thank all the residents of Brookfield who took the time to attend the Health Fair and learn all about the various agencies in our village and surrounding areas that are so happy to offer their services. You are the ones who made the event such a huge success. We hope to see all of you and more next year when we present Brookfield’s second annual Health Fair.
Cathy Colgrass-Edwards and Mary Pezdek, co-leaders of Brookfield Aging Well Team
