Major League Lacrosse has named Chicago Machine attackman Mike Leveille the MLL Rookie of the Week.
Leveille's four goals and were key to the Machine's 17-13 upset win over the Los Angeles Riptide on Sunday. He was named the game MVP as the Machine snapped Los Angeles’ three-game win streak. The win was Chicago’s first win over LA in the franchise’s history and helped Chicago equal last year’s season win total.
Chicago is now 3-7 with two games remaining in the season and plays the Denver Outlaws in Denver this Saturday.
Leveille ranks third on the team — behind only his brother, all star Kevin Leveille, and All-Star Rookie Steven Brooks — with 26 points in eight games, scoring 16 goals with 10 assists.
