The Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center has released its list of artists scheduled to perform during the 2012 Summer Concert Series at the center, 375 W. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook.

The center plays host every Wednesday night — beginning June 6 — to performances throughout the summer, except for the week of July 4.

The summer series includes one performance sponsored by the Fountaindale Public Library, five each sponsored by the Bolingbrook Park District and the Village of Bolingbrook, and one co-sponsored by the park district and the village.

Three concert dates — Aug. 1, Aug. 22 and Aug. 29 — remain open, but are expected to be filled soon, according to the village.

There is no charge for the performances, and visitors can sit either on chairs provided by the center, or on the hill facing the stage.

The artists to appear all are bands, unless designated otherwise:

June 6 — If You Give a Cat a Cupcake (play), 7 p.m., sponsored by Fountaindale Public Library

June 13 — Chemically Imbalanced, 7:30 p.m.

June 20 — AC Rock, 7:30 p.m.

June 27 — Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band, 7:30 p.m.

July 4 — No entertainment scheduled due to holiday

July 11 — Chi-town Showstoppers, 7:30 p.m.

July 18 — 5 Guys Named Moe, 7:30 p.m.

July 25 — 7th Heaven, 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 8 — Thunder Road, 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 15 — Lisa McClowry, 7:30 p.m.

As of Feb. 21, three dates remain to be filled — Aug. 1, Aug. 22 and Aug. 29.

A variety of bands will perform during the village’s three-day Jubilee, Aug. 17-19.

Those performers will be announced at a later date.

There are no rain dates scheduled for missed performances.
