The Bartlett Police Department is reminding parents and children that Halloween trick-or-treat hours are between 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
Police would also like to offer safety tips to help keep children safe.
Children should walk on sidewalks and watch for traffic when crossing the street, only trick-or-treat at well-lit homes and remain on the porch within street view, make sure costumes fit properly, carry a cellular phone, carry a working flashlight and have parents examine all candy before eating.
Motorists are also being asked to slow down on neighborhood street and to be on alert for children crossing the street.
Police will be conducting extra patrols in the neighborhoods on Halloween. Police also encourage residents to report any suspicious or criminal activity during this time.
