The Village of Bloomingdale marked its 20th annual Family Fest last weekend, a four-day festival organizers called one of the biggest events of the year in the village.
The festival is organized each year by the Bloomingdale Family Fest Committee, which put together a lineup of local and regional entertainment, food, games and a fireworks spectacular to close out the festivities.
Fourteen food vendors kept visitors happy while they listened to music from classic rockers The Guess Who and Led Zeppelin cover band, Kashmir. Band on the Run closed out the festival on Sunday night playing the best of Paul McCartney and Wings.
An appearance by Bloomingdale resident and restaurant owner Tony Spavone turned into a festival highlight as he sang the Italian-American classic songs made famous by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
The event also featured a stage for kids only, including such entertainment as local music and dance groups, magicians and a Guitar Hero tournament.
