Attendance has remained about the same at the  First United Methodist Church of La Grange’s preschool and parents don’t seem to be overly alarmed about the swine flu threat, preschool director Sue Skahill said.

Meanwhile, staff is instructing preschool children to wash their hands often during the course of the day and furnishings are repeatedly wiped down with a bleach and water solution to prevent the spread of germs, Skahill said.

Letters have been sent to parents requesting them to keep children who are sick at home.
