Home reported burglarized
An apartment in the 1800 block of Harlem Avenue was reported burglarized at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 13. Items reported stolen include two televisions, a Playstation 3 video game system and an unknown amount of video games, police said.

Theft charges levied
Three people were charged with retail theft in two separate incidents at the same store Oct. 13.

The two incidents occurred within eight hours of each other at Marshalls, 7163 Cermak Road. LaBarron Scott, 20, of Chicago, and Cortney Adams, 18, of Lincoln were arrested at about 1:25 p.m., and Kamalie Gonzalez, 33, of the 5800 block of West 28th Street, Berwyn was arrested at about 8:25 p.m. Oct. 13.

Employees told police Scott and Adams removed security tags from two pairs of shoes, put them on and replaced their shoes with the ones on the shelf. A security guard stopped them as they were leaving and held the two men until police arrived.

Gonzalez was stopped by store security after an employee observed her concealing store items in a stroller and in her children's backpacks.

Drug possession alleged
A man was charged with marijuana possession Oct. 14.

Charles Harper, 35, of Chicago was arrested following a traffic stop at Ogden and Harlem avenues at about 1:35 a.m. Oct. 14.

Police said Harper illegally passed another vehicle. During the stop, officers found a small bag in the back seat that contained marijuana, police said.

Harper also was charged with improper overtaking, improper lane usage, and driving on a revoked driver’s license.

Man faces drug charges
A Berwyn man was charged with possession of heroin after being arrested at about 2:30 p.m. Oct. 15, according to police.

Officers and paramedics were called to an apartment for a report of a drug overdose. Roger Fatigato, 57, of the 3400 block of South Oak Park Avenue,  was taken to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn where he was treated and released into the custody of the Berwyn Police Department, police said.

While in the apartment, officers found a small foil packet containing heroin, police added.

Home reported burglarized
A home in the 2800 block of Harvey Avenue was reported burglarized Oct. 15.

Officers arrived to the home at about 6:25 p.m. Oct. 15. The homeowner told police someone had burglarized his home between 6:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.

Items reported stolen include two computers, a Playstation 2 video game system, numerous DVDs and video games, and two lock boxes containing $7,000 in cash and checks, police said.

Police found two partial fingerprints that were sent to the Illinois State Forensic Laboratory for analysis.
