Fifty-seven year North Riverside and former Berwyn resident Sylvia Josefek, 87, died Jan. 14, 2008, in her home.
Services were held Jan. 17 in Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, North Riverside, followed by interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Josefek was a homemaker. She enjoyed jewelry making and was very active with her husband in the Earth Science Club of Northern Illinois.
Mrs. Josefek was a former Girl Scout leader and PTA member at Komarek School, North Riverside. Survivors include her children, Christine Beeson, Tom (Judy) and Janice (Dave) Yanecek; her sister, Shirlee Smith; her brothers-in-law, Vernon Yackley and George; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul.
