Berwyn resident Catherine M. Huizinga, 95, died Jan. 9, 2008, in her home.
Mass was celebrated Jan. 11 in St. Mary of Celle Church, Berwyn, followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
Mrs. Huizinga was an assembler at Western Electric Hawthorne Plant for 21 years before retiring in 1967. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of American, Polish Womens Alliance and Royal Neighbors.
Mrs. Huizinga enjoyed bingo, crocheting and traveling to Europe.
Survivors include her nieces, Mary Lambert and Jean (Harold) Hammershaimb; five great-nieces; five great-great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Memorials may be sent to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 1340 S. Damen Ave., Second Floor, Chicago, IL 60608.
Arrangements were handled by Joseph Nosek and Sons Funeral Home, Berwyn.
