Fifty-year Berwyn resident Richard R. Gevert, 87, died Jan. 10, 2008, in MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn.
Services will be held Jan. 15 in Svec and Sons Funeral Home, Berwyn, followed by interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mr. Gevert was a machinist before retiring. He enjoyed riding a bike many years ago and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Mr. Gevert served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Diane.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline; his brother, James; and his sister, Mabel Pelz.
