Berwyn and former North Riverside resident Joseph J. Duda, 84, died Jan. 9, 2008, in his home.

Mass was celebrated Jan. 12 in Mater Christi Church, North Riverside, followed by interment in Resurrection  Cemetery, Justice.

Mr. Duda was a factory worker at Continental Can before retiring. He loved to walk and would visit the library often.

Survivors include his sister Theresa (Thomas) Janczy and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Martin, Frank, John, Walter, Edward, Marie Janczy and Betty Kratish.

Arrangements were handled by Linhart Funeral Home, Berwyn.
