Longtime Berwyn resident John E. Kuta, 77, died Nov. 21, 2007.
Mass was celebrated Nov. 24 in Ascension Church, Oak Park, followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
Mr. Kuta served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J.; his sons, John C. (Angelina) and Mike (Lisa); his daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Scumaci and Karen (John) Doti; his grandchildren, John, Katie, Anthony, Brianna and Michael Kuta, Michael, Lisa, Anthony, Matthew, Jimmy and Joey Scumaci, and Joey, Richie, Tiffany, Krystal, Jenny, Michael and Shalynn Doti; his great-grandchildren, Gia, Tyler, Brooklyn, Kayleigh and Gianna; his sisters, Ruthie (Deacon Frank) Foys and Florence Tenerowicz; his sisters-in-law, Joanne LaVallie and Bernice, Mary and Rita Kuta; his special family friends, Rosemary and Michael Luciano and Jeanette and Michael Luciano; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Chester, Stanley and Walter, and his brother-in-law, Wally Tenerowicz.
