Firefighters to help serve up 31-cent ice cream

Berwyn firefighters will participate in Baskin Robbins annual 31-cent scoop night from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.
Each year, Baskin Robbins serve reduced-price ice cream scoops to honor firefighters with a $100,000 donation. This year’s beneficiary is the National Volunteer Fire Council’s National Youth Junior Firefighter Program.
Berwyn firefighters served more than 1,800 scoops of ice cream during the event last year. They will be on hand Wednesday at two locations, 6601 Cermak Road and 7020 Ogden Avenue. Customers may also make direct donations at the stores.
