Berwyn, IL -

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the death of a Mount Prospect man found dead in a Berwyn alley earlier this month.

The man, Vincent Lee, of 113 N. School St., Mount Prospect, was found unresponsive on May 11 in an alley near 34th Street and Grove Avenue in Berwyn, according to reports.

A spokesman from the medical examiner’s office said Lee did not appear to have sustained any trauma. An official cause of death is pending the return of toxicology reports in several weeks, according to the spokesman.

Police were tipped off to Lee’s body by an anonymous call made from a pay phone in Berwyn’s Depot District area, according to police reports. The caller said they saw two men remove a body from a car, leave it in the alley and drive away, according reports.

Lee, 43, was pronounced dead at 2:49 p.m. May 11 at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn.
