Concerts in the Park series begins Sunday

Grand Avenue Big Band, a Chicago-area ensemble, will kick-off this summer’s free Concert in the Park series Sunday, June 28, with hits from the 40s.
Sponsored by the Berwyn Development Corp. and the Berwyn Park District, all shows will be held at 3 p.m. at Proksa Park, 3001 S. Wisconsin Ave. Roots Rock Society, an award-winning ensemble that combines the rhythms of African Diaspora, will perform July 26, and the John Temmeman Jazz Band will conclude the series Aug. 30. The John Temmeman Jazz Band performs everything from swing and Sinatra, to funk and pop and music.
