City gives four students scholarships

The city of Berwyn has given four area students $500 toward their college education as part of their “Dollars for Scholars” program.

This year's winner include:

Tricia Leja, a Nazareth Academy graduate, who will attend Morton Community College in Cicero.

Tyna Nguyen, a Morton West graduate, who will be attending Concordia University in River Forest.

Oscar Tapia, a Morton West graduate, who will be attending the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Maricela Leon, a Morton West graduate, who will be attending the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dollars for Scholars is an annual program that awards Berwyn residents merit-based scholarships.
