Berwyn police need to enforce stop signs better
I’m sick and tired of watching cars blowing past stop signs.
I don’t know how many times I’m riding my bike coming to an intersection, I slow down, when all of the sudden a car just goes right through a stop sign and almost hits me. Or when I’m driving my scooter, I come to a stop sign and stop. Then I’m ready to go when a car just blows past the stop sign and nearly hits me.
Why don’t the police park about 50 yards away from a three- or four-way stop sign and nab all of these people blowing past these signs, some of them doing 25 to 35 mph right through them?
What gets me more mad is that they’re on their cell phone when they do it. I wish the police for one week would get about 75 percent of the force and do after these drivers before they kill someone.
I bet you the police would give more than 1,000 tickets in one week if they did this. They should call this Operation Stop. I wish the police would sit with me in front of my home by 13th Street and Wenonah Avenue so they can see for themselves how many cars blow through those stop signs.
