Two men were charged with drug-related felonies after two separate drug busts in Berwyn last week.

The Berwyn Police Department seized several bags of Psilocybin mushrooms and weapons following a bust at a home in northern Berwyn Nov. 20.

Officers from the Berwyn Police Department Special Tactical Unit and the Cook County Sheriff's Office served a warrant to a home on the 1300 block of South Clinton Avenue at about 12:10 p.m. Nov. 20.

As they entered, they found Scott Hudnall, 27, on the couch in the living room. Hudnall was removed from the home and taken into custody, according to police.

During the search, officers found drug paraphernalia, multiple spores of Psilocybin mushrooms, 206 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and $397, police said.

A portion of the cash included a $100 bill that was traced to a previous interaction with Hudnall before the warrant was served, police said.

In a written statement, Hudnall told police he had been selling drugs for about a year after he lost his job. Hudnall was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearm ammunition. His next scheduled court date is Dec. 9.

In the second bust, marijuana and cocaine was seized and one man was charged Nov. 22.

Officers from the Berwyn Police Department’s Special Tactical Unit served a warrant to a home on the 2300 block of South Wesley Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 22. When officers entered the home, they found four people inside and took one man, Fabian Rodriguez, 18, into custody, according to police.

Officers searched the home and found numerous bags of marijuana weighing more than 1.2 kilograms, 24 grams of cocaine, and more than $2,200 in cash, police said.

Rodriguez was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

The two busts are the fourth and fifth by the Berwyn Police Department this month. On Nov. 2, police seized more than $3.6 million in drugs and weapons from a home on the 2200 block of Ridgeland Avenue, 100 pounds of marijuana from a home on the 2500 block of Highland Avenue Nov. 6, and charged four people involved in a drug deal with more than two kilograms of cocaine behind Morton West High School Nov. 12.
