Many of the reasons for hungry residents to explore the culinary options in La Grange, where the restaurant entrees range from ethnic to casual fare and lavish cuisine to pizza, were on hand at Bella Bacino’s, 36 S. La Grange Road, Tuesday evening, sharing their cuisine with one another.
The tasting event was part of a preview of the first La Grange Restaurant week, which will be held Feb. 17 through Feb. 26.
“It highlights the town,” said Ryan William, president of the La Grange Business Association. “This is also a great way for them (restaurant owners) to band together, to embrace it together.”
Food from Prasino, Q BBQ, Thipi Thai and nine other restaurants were shared among local business leaders and officials.
In February, a trip to 14 restaurants also comes with the opportunity to win a trip for two on the side.
Throughout the month, people can pick up a Dining Passport and get it stamped in a participating restaurant with a $20 minimum purchase (tax and gratuity not included).
With four stamps, diners are eligible to win a trip for two to a culinary destination in the U.S. or overnight accommodations in Chicago.
