Resident reports telephone harassment
A resident on the 1200 block of Scarlet Avenue reported that a call was received requesting financial information. When the resident hung up the telephone, the same caller called back and used derogatory language.
The incident was reported at  2 p.m. Oct. 4.

Vehicle burglarized at business
The driver’s side window of a vehicle was smashed and several saws were removed while parked in the lot at Premier Mechanical, 111 Fairbank St., between 7 p.m. Oct. 1 and 7 a.m. Oct. 2.
No value was given on the stolen tools.

Lombard man faces multiple charges
Jorge A. Trejo-Corrales, 34, of 21W549 North Ave., Lombard, was charged with disorderly conduct, no valid driver’s license and no insurance at 6 p.m. Oct. 2 on the 200 block of West Lake Street.

Woman allegedly took money from Wal-Mart
Stephanie M. West 25, of 1888 Somerset Drive, Glendale Heights, was charged with theft at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 29 after she allegedly took money from cash registers at Wal-Mart, 1050 N. Rohlwing Road.

Air-conditioning units stolen from property
Three air-conditioning units were stolen from a property on the first block of East Jefferson Street. The incident was reported at 9 a.m. Oct. 9. No loss estimate was given.

Catalytic converter taken from company truck
A catalytic converter was removed from a company truck while parked in the unnamed business’s lot on the 700 block of Birginal Drive. The incident was reported at 9 a.m.Oct. 9.

Truck tires stolen from trailer
Four truck tires were taken from a trailer parked in a business lot on the 500 block of Supreme Drive. The incident was reported at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 9.

Man charged with not having a driver’s license
Rafael Avalos, 35, of Des Plaines, was charged with driving without a valid license at 6 p.m.Oct. 8 near Foster Avenue and Route 83.

Siding taken from vacant home
Aluminum siding was removed from a home on the 200  block of Orchard Avenue. The home is vacant and owned by Chicago as part of the O’Hare Modernization Program. The incident was reported at 2 p.m.  Oct. 7.

Wood Dale
Police said driver had suspended license
Freddy Bolanos, 22, of 371 N. Central Ave., was charged with driving with a suspended license at 5 p.m. Saturday on the 100 block of East Front Street.

Police investigate possible scam in Jewel parking lot
An elderly woman was approached by two females in the parking lot of Jewel-Osco, 190 S. Wood Dale Road, and asked to give them $10,000 if she wanted to split a bag of $100,000 that the two had found. The incident was reported at 3:40 p.m. Friday.
Police said the woman did not give the two females any money. No description of the two was provided.

Youth faces alcohol charge
Jonathan C. Hernandez, 17, of 419 Elmhurst St., Wood Dale, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of tobacco by a minor on Friday on the 400 block of Wood Dale Road.
Hernandez also had an outstanding warrant, police said.
