Man charged with no
license, insurance
Francisco Landa-Carrillo, 21, 135 S. Blecke Ave., Addison, was charged with no valid driver’s license, no insurance and disobeying a stop sign at about 8:45 p.m. Nov. 15 near Addison Road and Lorraine Avenue, police said.
Resident reports case
of stolen identity
A resident along the 400 block of Lancers Drive reported that an unknown person gained access to his personal information and tried to open two credit accounts at businesses in Norridge. The incident was reported at about midnight Nov. 5, police said.
Police probe rash
of vehicle thefts
Addison police are investigating a string of vehicle thefts in the community after two cars and two semi-trucks were reported stolen last week.
According to police, two semi-truck cabs were reported taken between 3 p.m. Nov. 29 and 11 a.m. Dec. 1 from a business along the 500 block of West Fullerton Avenue. In both cases, the trailers were unhitched from the trucks by the offender.
Police also said someone removed a 1995 Ford pickup truck between 11 p.m. Nov. 29 and 6 a.m. Nov. 30 from a parking lot along the 300 block of Dale Drive. Police said the resident noticed the truck was gone when they attempted to leave for work.
In another incident, a resident along the 100 block of East Blecke Avenue reported that someone had removed his vehicle from the parking lot. Police said the man had left the engine running to warm it up and ran back inside his apartment, and when he returned, the 1998 Toyota was gone.
Police said they are investigating the thefts. No value was given on the missing vehicles.
Bensenville
Police probe armed
robbery at game store
Bensenville police said two male subjects entered a video game store with handguns and robbed one of the employees at about 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at GameStop, 1141 S. York Road. The two then fled the scene.
No one was injured, and no further description was given on the two offenders.
Lock reported damaged
on parked vehicle
Police said a woman along the 100 block of Gateway Road reported that someone damaged the door lock on the vehicle of her car at about 8 p.m. Nov. 28 near her home.
No damage estimate was given, and it was not known if anyone had entered the vehicle, police said.
Tools reported stolen
from truck trailer
Police a man reported someone broke into a trailer parked along the 1000 block of Green Street and removed $975 worth of tools at about 12:15 p.m. Dec. 2, police said.
Local residents charged
with marijuana possession
David Far, 25, 1010 W. Irving Park Road, and Cezary Kuzmiuk, ok 21, 1014 W. Irving Park Road, both of Bensenville, were charged with possession of marijuana at about 8 p.m. Nov. 28 at Far’s residence, police said.
Car part reported
stolen from vehicle
Police said a resident along the 100 block of East George Street reported the catalytic converter had been removed from a vehicle at about 8 p.m. Nov. 28, police said.
