Computer hardware taken from apartment unit
Police said a resident along the 900 block of College Boulevard reported someone removed a computer, a flat-screen monitor and several other computer items from an apartment unit between 11:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 25, police said. No loss estimate was given on the computer.
Police said another resident reported a laptop computer, valued at $900, was taken during a burglary in the same complex. That incident was reported at about 5 p.m. Jan. 22, police said.
Police probe copper heist at warehouse
Police said an employee at a local warehouse reported two rolls of copper, weighing about 2,700 pounds, were reportedly taken from the business at about 3:15 p.m. Jan. 22 at 401 S. Rohlwing Road, police said.
The estimated value of the copper was about $15,000, police said.
Girl said she was offered a ride from a stranger
Police said a young girl reported she was accosted by a man who offered her a ride near a local restaurant and tried to engage her in conversation. The girl declined, and she became very uncomfortable and ran into the restaurant, where police were called. The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. Jan. 28 at McDonald’s, 501 W. Lake St.
Police said the subject who approached the girl was a male in his mid-50s and drove a dark blue four-door vehicle.
Man ‘flashes’ woman along Stone Avenue
Police said a woman along the 1700 block of West Stone Avenue reported a man exposed himself to her from outside the home while she was standing in front of a window at about 9:15 p.m. Jan. 23.
According to police, the man then ran off as the woman called police. No description was given on the man.

Playstation reported taken from apartment
Police said a resident along the 600 block of South York Road reported someone gained entry into his apartment and took a PlayStation 3 video game console, games, and several DVDs at about 9:45 p.m. Jan. 31.
Police said resident died of natural causes
Bensenville police said a resident found dead in her home died as a result of natural causes.
Florence Lessard, 83, of the 1100 block of Stoneham Drive, was found dead at about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31, police said.
Man charged with driving without license
Enrique Martinez, 18, 111 N. Addison Road, Bensenville, was charged with no valid driver’s license at about 9:45 p.m. Jan. 30 along the 100 block of Mason Street, police said.
Addison man charged with property damage
Manuel Meija, 18, 945 Rohlwing Road, Addison, was charged with criminal damage to property at about 10:15 a.m. Jan. 30 at 1000 Tower Lane, police said.
Radio reported taken in vehicle burglary
Police said a resident along the first block of South Addison Street reported someone broke into his vehicle and took his radio at about 3 p.m. Jan. 28, police said.

Local man charged with drunken driving
John Meade, 44, 251 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 2:15 a.m. Feb. 6 along the 400 block of Georgetown Square, police said.
Cars reported burglarized in dealership lot
An employee at a car dealership reported someone broke in to six vehicles parked in the business lot at about 9:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at Tota Motor Works, 401 E. Potter St., police said.
A catalytic converter was taken off one BMW, and nothing was reported taken from inside the cars, police said.
Hanover Park man faces felony DUI charges
Luis E. Rivera, 34, of Hanover Park, was charged with felony driving under the influence of alcohol at about 3 a.m. Feb. 3 near Thorndale Avenue and Route 83, police said.
Man charged with holding drug paraphernalia
James J. Pappas, 29, no address given, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant at about 9 p.m. Feb. 2 at 306 W. Charmiller Lane, police said.
