O’Hare press conference planned Thursday

Bensenville residents and Village President John Geils will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. Thursday at 17 Hamilton St. as a plea to Chicago not to demolish homes in the village for O’Hare expansion.
DuPage County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Popejoy is expected to rule Thursday on a request by Chicago to allow the demolition of more than 500 properties in the village to build a new runway.
The press conference is expected to include Geils; Joe Karaganis, an attorney representing the village; and several residents.
