Man charged with violating protection order
Emmeile D. Young, 32, of Oak Park, was charged with violating an order of protection at 12:45 p.m. July 15 on the 900 block of College Boulevard.

Houses damaged with spray paint
Three houses under construction were spray-painted with graffiti. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. July 9 and 6 a.m. July 10 on the 1500 block of Grove Avenue.

Police: Man had pellet gun
Amir Kahrimanovic, 18, of Villa Park, was charged with possession of a pellet gun and speeding after he was pulled over at noon July 7 near Army Trail Road and Interstate 355.

Man charged with DUI after crash
Kevin A. Boland, 18, of 298 Paddock Circle, Addison, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, consumption of alcohol by a minor, and public fighting at 2:15 a.m. June 28 on the 600 block of North Meadows Drive.
According to police, Boland was involved in a traffic accident that turned into a physical altercation. No injuries were reported.

Bensenville
Man faces domestic battery charges
Larry York, 31, a resident of the 600 block of East George Street, Bensenville, was charged with domestic battery at 4:30 a.m. Monday at his residence.

Electric car stolen from yard
An electric toy car was taken from a backyard on the 300 block of Spruce Avenue. The incident was reported at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. No value was given for the car.

Two charged with public drunkenness
Santiago Fabian, 23, and Pedro Lopez, 23, both of 1072 W. Irving Park Road, Bensenville, where charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct at 10 p.m. Saturday at 460 W. Irving Park Road.

Man faces drunken-driving charges
Ricardo Fumes, 29, of 1011 Ferrari Drive, Bensenville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid driver’s license at 11:15 p.m. Friday on the 900 block of Brookwood Street.

Fire hydrants forced open
Fire hydrants on the 1000 block of Daniel Drive were forced open, and water was lost. The incident was reported at 10:13 a.m. Friday. The value of the water loss was estimated at $1,200.

Police investigate mugging
Two teenagers were robbed by two offenders with a baseball bat while they were walking along a path on the west side of Redmond Park at 11 p.m. July 17.
Police said the victims gave the offenders, who fled on foot, a cellular telephone. No description was given of the offenders.

Golf clubs stolen from garage
A garage on the 500 block of West Potter Street was broken into and a set of custom-made golf clubs was taken. The incident was reported at 11:55 a.m. Monday. The clubs were value at $500.

Police: Woman had suspended license
Cecelia P. Granados, 20, of 274 E. St. Charles Road, Carol Stream, was charged with driving with a suspended license at 5 p.m. Sunday near Irving Park Road and Forest View Drive.

Police find lost dog in neighborhood
Police recovered a lost dog found wandering a neighborhood. The dog was found at 4:45 p.m. Sunday on the 100 block of East Spring Oaks Road.
The black-and-gray German shepherd has a choke collar and “Cheyenne” on the tag. The telephone number on the tag was disconnected, police said.
The animal was taken to DuPage County Animal Control.

Electronic items taken from van
A van on the 100 block of Carey Trail was broken into and several items were removed. The incident was reported at 2:30 a.m. Friday.
Among the items taken were: a portable computer, valued at $500; a navigation system, valued at $250; and a radar detector, valued at $200.
