Company van burglarized
along Fullerton Avenue
An employee of a business along the 1400 block of West Fullerton Avenue reported someone shattered a side window on one of the company’s vans and removed a GPS navigational system sometime between 2 p.m. Nov. 15 and 4 a.m. Nov. 16, police said.
No value was given on the stolen unit.

Computer reported stolen
during vehicle burglary
Police said a computer and a computer bag were stolen after someone gained access to a secured vehicle by breaking a window sometime between 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 13 along the 500 block of North Swift Road, police said.

Sugar reported poured into car’s gas tank
Police said a resident along the 100 block of North Church Street reported someone poured an unknown amount of sugar into the gas tank of a vehicle while it was parked in the rear lot of a nearby building sometime between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 7 a.m. Nov. 12, police said.

Tires reported slashed
on two different vehicles
Police said all four tires on two different vehicles were reportedly slashed while they were parked in a nearby lot. The incident was reported at about 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at 440 Belden Ave., police said.

Aluminum, copper pipes
stolen from local business
Police said an employee of a business along the 400 block of Podlin Drive reported that someone forcibly entered a garage on the property and removed aluminum straps, and cooper sheets and pipes. The incident was reported at about 7:30 a.m.. Nov. 25, police said.
No value was given on the missing items.

Man’s death in lot believed to be natural
Police said a death investigation into a body found in a vacant lot along the 400 block of West Irving Park Road indicates the man died of natural causes.
Police said the body of Harold J. Kerrutt, 75, 4 S. Mason St., Bensenville, was found at about 7:30 a.m. Nov. 25. Police said the body was taken to the DuPage County Coroner’s Office, but they said the death appears to not be suspicious.

Local man charged with public drunkenness
Eric Lopez, 25, 640 S. York Road, was charged with public intoxication and lewdness at about 7 p.m. Nov. 23 near his residence, police said.

Police investigate report
of residential burglary
Police said a resident along the 900 block of Brookwood Street reported that someone had entered the residence through a basement window and removed several items. The incident was reported at about 9:37 p.m. Nov. 22, police said.

Coffee bags reported
stolen from Dominick’s
Police said a man stole 15 bags of coffee from a local grocery store and fled. The incident was reported at about 1:37 p.m. Nov. 21 at Dominick’s, 1127 S. York Road.
No other description of the culprit was given by police.

Wood Dale
Melrose Park resident
faces DUI charges
Marabella Galicia, 36, of Melrose Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and no valid drivers license at about 2:50 a.m. Nov. 25 near the intersection of Franzen Drive and Irving Park Road, police said.
