Batavia's girls golf team finished third at Tuesday's sectional and missed out on a state berth, but Tara Cullerton and Megan Ramp punched their tickets to the final weekend of the high school golf season.
Cullerton's 82 and Ramp's 84 were good for two of the eight individual qualifying spots available at the St. Ignatius sectional at Cog Hill in Lemont. Cullerton was just three strokes back of the meadlist score of 79.
As a team, the Bulldogs held their own with two of the state's top teams in Hinsdale Central. Central took the title with a 342, edging South's 343. Batavia was just off the pace in third place with a 348.
