BATAVIA
Drunken driving alleged
James D. Lemos, 26, 646 Bangs St., was taken into custody, cited for drunken driving, speeding and improper lane use at 2:50 a.m. May 24 at Randall Road and Mill Street. Lemos was released with a court date of June 24 after posting $300 bond.

Underage drinking charged
At 12:03 a.m. on May 23, David V. Murray, 18, 3035 Savannah Drive, Aurora, and Joseph F. Raguso, 18, 710 E. Wilson St., were taken into custody on the 700 block of East Wilson Avenue and issued notices to appear for unlawful consumption of alcohol. Subjects were released to their parents with a court date of June 16.

Theft of more than $300
At 9:56 p.m. on the 400 block of Church Street, a resident stated her husband received a call from her son who advised he was not coming home. He then received a call from a male voice asking if they were missing any rings. When he checked the dresser, he noticed three rings missing.

Warrant served
Melise T. Williams, 25, 1010 Pearl St., Aurora, was picked up at 9:56 p.m. May 25 at the Montgomery Police Department and transported back to Batavia Police Department on a Batavia warrant for battery. Williams was processed and later taken to morning bond call.

GENEVA
Aggravated battery alleged
Danny L. Kaminski, 37, 1269 Brandywine Circle, Batavia, was charged with aggravated battery after an incident at 2:39 a.m. May 24 at the Old Towne Pub, 201 W. State St., when he punched a victim in the face with a closed fist after the victim refused to give his friend a ride home or money for a cab.

Drunken-driving charged
• James E. Hughes, 43, 113 Kane St., was arrested at 1:30 a.m. May 23 at 1190 E. State St. Hughes was charged with two counts of drunken driving and one count of improper lane use.
• Annie Westerlund, 28, 331 1/2 Elm St., Sycamore, was charged with drunken driving at 2:32 a.m. May 22 on the 1100 block of East State Street. Westerlund also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A citation also was given to James Bowers, 27, 120 Caroline Court, Apt. D, for obstruction of justice when he tried to give the officer a false name of Damien J. McGrath.

Reckless driving alleged
Kyle S. Weber, 21, 6N670 Denker Lane, St. Charles, was charged with reckless driving and illegal squeeling or screeching of tires in the parking lot of Geneva Commons near Dick’s Sporting Goods, 618 Commons Drive, at 10:59 a.m. May 22. Weber was given a court date of June 16.

Retail theft charges filed
James M. Godish, 25, 142 Remington Drive, St. Charles, was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking one protein bar, two bottles of cough medication and one twin pack of energy drink from Dominick’s, 2000 Randall Road, at 7:21 p.m. May 23.

Underage drinking charged
At 11:28 p.m. May 20, officers were tipped about suspicious vehicles parked near 1402 Keim Circle. Complainant said he noticed kids walking towards Fargo Park, 431 Fargo Blvd., which closes at 10 p.m. The officer noticed 20 to 30 juveniles around a small campfire behind the Keim Circle residence. He informed the homeowner of the ordinance against bonfires and noise levels. Officer found minors drinking inside, including; Braden Dalton, 17, 1602 Keim Circle; Lindsay Fansler, 18, 1581 Fairway Circle; Elizabeth Jane Bertrand, 20, 2010 Eldorado Drive; Krista Jane Panko, 18, 1453 Fargo Blvd.; Weston Kappel, 18, 1200 Shoop Drive; Nicolas Landi, 17, 0N709 Bartlett Road; Michael Vincent Grandenetti, 18, 625 Windett Lane; Natalie Seidel, 19, 1500 Kaneville Road; Michael Kuntz, 19, 327 Colonial Circle; Mark Urban, 18, 2627 Cedar Ave.; Colleen Stanfa, 19, 1263 Herrington Road.
