Geneva High School's 2008 graduates achieved an average composite score of 23.9 on the ACT, according to numbers released this month by ACT.
This is a 0.9 percentage point increase from the 23.0 average recorded among 2007 graduating seniors. This is also significantly higher than the 20.7 state average and 21.1 national average.
"We are very proud of our students for attaining this high average and for raising it even higher than that of last year," said Community Unit School District 304 Superintendent Kent Mutchler. "We are also very thankful to our staff and parents for the value that they place on education in Geneva and for their caring work to help our students succeed."
