Garage sale to benefit Nowachek's marathon fundraiser

Steve Nowachek finished last weekend's Quad Cities marathon in 4:21:15, but the time isn't as important as the cause.
Nowachek, who will also run the Chicago Marathon Oct. 11 and the New York City Marathon Nov. 1, is also running to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
In addition to soliciting help from local businesses, Nowachek will be hosting a garage sale at 1827 S. 4th Place in St. Charles on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Among other items available at the garage sale/fundrasier will be a used 65-inch HD-ready TV for $750.
