Streamwood, IL -

A 19-year-old Streamwood man was found shot in the leg Tuesday after officers were called to his home on the 500 block of Berkley Place.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related, and not a random act of violence, said Streamwood Deputy Police Chief Jim Keegan.

The resident, who was shot in his upper right leg, was rushed to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates and remains in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing, and no arrests have been made. Police are urging anyone with information to call a confidential crime tip line at (630) 837-9245.
