DUI charges filed
• Melanie Eurick, 24, 2 Don Carlos, Hanover Park, was arrested at Route 59 and Baytree Drive and charged with driving under the influence, blood alcohol content over .08 and speeding at 3:59 a.m. May 21. She was released on bond and will appear in court June 10.
• Greg A. Franz, 47, 30W697 Warwick Way, Wayne, was arrested at Stearns Road and Powis Road and charged with driving under the influence and speeding. He was released on a bond and will appear in court June 23.
• Loy A. Hernandez, 47, 1010 Chippewa, Carpentersville, was arrested at Route 20 and Oak Avenue and charged with driving under the influence and speeding. He was released on bond and will appear in court June 10.
• Jose Luis Paredes, 29, 6900 Plumtree Lane, Hanover Park, was arrested at Route 20 and North Bartlett Avenue and charged with drunken driving, blood alcohol level over .08, no valid driver’s license, no insurance and improper lane use. He was released on bond and will appear in court June 10.

Underage drinking alleged
Joseph P. Miraglia, 18, 480 Radcliffe Ave., Des Plaines, was arrested at 142 N. Crest Ave. at 2:56 p.m. May 19 and issued a citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor. Miraglia was released on his signature and will appear in court June 17.

Aggravated assault
Benjamin S. Jones, 42, 759 Balboa Terrace East, was arrested at 7:07 p.m. May 20 at his home and charged with aggravated assault.
He was released on bond and will appear in court June 10.

Warrant
Lawrence Laino, 18, 30W370 White Oak, Wayne, turned himself in at 7:37 p.m. May 22 on a Bartlett warrant for battery. He was released after posting $300 bond and has a court date of June 16.
